Proverbs 31:30,31 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
This ministry is for all women at Corinth and the nearby areas. Our purpose is to:
1)Promote a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2)Build a strong fellowship with each other in a love that Christ has for us.
3)Provide a safe, caring, loving place where women feel free to worship openly, and find peace in their lives.
4)Enable women to experience that God will leave our past behind-forgiven and forgotten-so we can embrace all that God has for us: allowing us to become the women of excellence God designed us to be.
5)Show that we are made in God’s image, from Him, for Him, and are special in His Eyes.
Our Statement
We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:16
We believe that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
We believe we believe we have “different kinds of gifts, but the same spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:4
We believe that “our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a Savior from there the Lord Jesus Christ. Phillippians 3:21
We believe that “we shall forever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17
We strive to “live holy and Godly lives as we look forward to the day of God.” 2 Peter 3:11,12
Our weekly, monthly, yearly activities
Weekly: Mondays my office is open from 9 till 3 for phone calling shut -in’s, personal prayer time, meeting the needs on a personal private time. Monday’s are also spent sending cards
“Hour of Prayer”
Monday’s from 10 till 11 is open alter time-to meet the prayers of the women, The Golden Girls, the Body of Christ, other ministries in the church, missionaries, and the needs of the nearby areas.
“Nursing Home Ministry”
Monday afternoon from 2 till 4, is spent at the nursing home meeting the needs, praying with them, and letting them know how special they are to us.
“ Home visitation”
It may be a dish, hug, or sometimes we clean there home.
Our Motto is “What can I do to make your day brighter.”
Monthly: The Golden Girl Ministry. It is a ministry for women over 60, to have a time of fellowship and a time to laugh together. We go to different restaurants that normally they couldn’t go to, or haven’t went to before. We load up in the van and have a male chauffeur drive us wherever we are going. Sometimes we enjoy a little shopping also. The ladies enjoy the antique shops.
“Every Other Month” “Women’s Night Out” A special Monday Night Out where we have a guest speaker usually from the church or nearby to share their personal story. We start the evening with a “Theme Potluck”, which varies each time. We have music in the Sanctuary, prayer and listen to the quest speaker. It is open for anyone that wants to share their testimony or their special needs. We are free to fellowship with Jesus.
“Yearly Activity”
Our yearly “Women’s Retreat”. Is a special day where the women feel special. We have a guest speaker, special music, and special food. It is done in candle light with white linen tablecloths, with men servers. There are roses and gifts for them to take home with them. It is a very special planned day so they can feel like they are the brides that God made them to be.
Each of our ladies are very special to the ministry. We invite you to come and join us. We are laugh and cry together. We are family, after all we will be spending eternity together. God Bless Each One Of You.
